“An active group of civic minded people (not just women.) Making a difference be it thru town beautification or habitat for humanity or helping with Grey Towers Christmas decorations!”
”I came along to my first meeting when I had just moved in to Milford. The hall was full of friendly people of all ages- the speaker was great, and the food was delicious. Because of the variety of interest people have, as well as gardening of course, I became involved in choral singing and volunteering at Grey Towers. Our community grows closer each time we get together to decorate town or weed or plant. I have made more friends here than I could ever have imagined. Many people have recently moved up here too so I do not feel a stranger in town. I am not an expert gardener but I am making progress and now can spot weeds! There are many who are knowledgeable about horticulture and no one is snooty about plants. I would recommend Milford Garden Club to everyone!”
“Learn about Milford’s history and the area; participate in a community garden which provides fresh food for the local food bank, there is something for everyone. The Club is well organized supported by an active group which provides members with not only the opportunity to “give back” to the community and but also find activities of personal interest. “
Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at one o’clock at St. Patrick’s Church Hall on E. High and 4th Streets in Milford, PA to share experiences, plan events, expand horticultural knowledge, and hear authoritative guest speakers. No meetings are scheduled for January or February.
