William R. Boyle Named Chief Lending Officer at The Dime Bank

The Board of Directors at The Dime Bank are pleased to announce William R. Boyle has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Chief Lending Officer.

Boyle has thirty-five years of experience in community banking and has been with The Dime Bank since 2011. Boyle is a member of The Dime Bank’s senior management team, leading the institution towards growth. Most recently, as chief credit officer, Boyle was responsible for the overall management of the bank’s credit administration department in order to ensure the efficient and accurate analysis of credit risk for new loan requests and existing lending relationships, as well as correct structuring for commercial loans including the underwriting and loan review analysis process.

In his new role, Boyle is responsible for the strategic direction of the entire lending function of the bank, including the policies followed by the commercial loan division, the consumer lending area, and the residential mortgage department. He manages The Dime Bank team of loan officers while also actively supporting the growth of the institution by originating commercial loans and introducing new loan products to round out the portfolio.

President and Chief Executive Officer Pete Bochnovich stated, “This promotion is certainly fitting. Bill has been an active member of our management team expanding our loan portfolio to attain growth while mitigating risk. He is a strong member of the community and is actively involved in the success of customers, taking the time to understand individual needs in order to propose the best financial solution to ensure their continued success. Bill’s lending expertise, strategic planning skills, and community involvement make him the perfect fit to lead our lending areas.”

Boyle is very active in the community and lives in Vandling with his wife, Ann. He is Vandling Borough Council vice president, Carbondale Technology Transfer Center board secretary, Wayne Memorial Community Advisory board member, Lackawanna County Industrial Development Authority board member, Northeastern Economic Development Company board member, Scranton /Lackawanna Health Service board member, Lackawanna County Workforce Development board member, and City of Carbondale Industrial Development Authority former chairman. Boyle has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Mansfield State College and has completed numerous banking programs from the Pennsylvania Bankers Association in leadership, commercial lending, management and general banking skills. He also holds certificates in consumer credit from the New York State Bankers Association. He is a certified para-financial planner.
