Lunch and Learn Webinar Series

May 27: Protecting What Matters Most - Geared towards employees, this presentation helps to demonstrate the importance of protecting income, which is the most valuable asset for most. This presentation also explores the value of income, perspectives on disability, and how to close the DI gap if one does become disabled. June 24: Personal Risk - Understanding your personal risk profile is critical to achieving long-term financial well-being. This non-branded presentation provides attendees with a seven question risk profile survey in which they score themselves. Based on their personal risk profile score, suggestions for potential asset allocation scenarios are offered. In addition, seminar asks attendees to consider their risk profile when making future decision about debt/equity, savings, insurance and employment. At end of discussion, audience should have enough knowledge to understand their own personal risk profile and how they can apply it in their lives. This topic is part of a comprehensive, multi-part Employee Financial Education seminar program. July 22: Actionable Ideas for Business Owners - Actionable Ideas for Business Owners’ seminar uses the popular ‘tips’ book and social media campaign (#biztipthursday) as its foundation and organizes the ideas/tips around three categories: Lead Your Business, Grow Your Business, and Inspire Your Team. Ideas/tips within in each category are further organized under specific needs of business owners such as Setting Direction, Anticipating Problems, Managing Money, Finding New Customers, Creating a Culture, and Providing a Safety Net for employees. Branded seminar is ideal for use with business owner groups (associations, chambers, SCORE chapters) alone, or as part of an ongoing education series that includes realBUSINESS® and Simple Steps for Exiting Your Business.
August 26: Business Succession Planning - This presentation will walk your business owner clients through some of the concerns they may have in planning for the continuation or disposition of their business interests and estate taxes. The presentation will also look at some of the things that might be considered to alleviate business owner concerns. Particular topics discussed include: types of assets and property, forms of businesses and tax implications, valuing your business, buy-sell agreements, and wills, trusts and gifts.
September 23: Understanding the Value of Your Business - The workshop is designed to educate business owners on the critical roll business valuation plays in effective succession, retirement and estate planning. It features findings from the 2018 MassMutual Business Owner Perspectives Study. It illustrates why having a value isn't enough; business owners also need to understand why the value is what it is and why focusing on value growth is so important to effective business planning.
