The Delaware Valley Choral Society under the direction of Jeffrey Fornoff will be performing the world premier of major work by a local composer in the spring concert entitled “Masses of Peace and Light Eternal”. The composer, R. Wayne Walters, now serving as adjunct professor of music at the College of Saint Elizabeth composed a Requiem Mass dedicated to the memory of Elizabeth Ann Bayley Seton, the first native-born American to be proclaimed a Saint in the Roman Catholic Church. Also, on the program will be Franz Schubert’s Mass in G and Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aterna. Professional soloists and a full symphony orchestra will be joining the Delaware Valley Choral Society including special guests Clarum Sonum directed by Rider Foster.
The concert “Masses of Peace and Light Eternal” will be held at the Delaware Valley High School Auditorium at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 19, 2018.
