Summer 2019 Programs at the Stourbridge Project Honesdale, PA



July 8, 4:00-7:00 pm: build Your Own Portable Solar Powered Charging Station
Learn how to build a solar powered charging station for your cell phone and other devices.
$40 fee includes project kit, good for ages twelve and up, knowledge of middle school math is required.
About Your Instructor: Anthony Komar is an experienced Electronic, Software and Systems Engineer that includes delivering training material at major US companies. Mr. Komar has served community as a Scout leader and as founder of Preserve Wayne Upland Recreation.

About Your Presenters: For John Rocklin, photography is a medium to capture moments in time in space that tell us a story about who we are and what we were after time has passed. John's mission to document great musicians near and far with his camera. His current portfolio consists of tens of thousands of photographs of musicians and performing artists as well as other more common subjects. Laurie A. Guzda is the Creative Director of LAGuzda, Creative Arts & Services which specializes in marketing, branding, PR and more. She has worked on both the agency side as well as client. She has worked with clients in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Austin and San Francisco. Locally, she created the marketing department for Woodloch. Laurie is an avid photographer, artist and writer. In three sessions, learn beginning and intermediate skills on the Glowforge Laser cutting machine. Work on your own project, hands on with one-on- one instruction.
Cost: $30 materials fee
Class Size: Limited to 8, minimum of 3.
About Your Instructor: Lisa Glover is a designer with a background in Engineering, Architecture and Fine Art. She has run 3 successful Kickstarter campaigns, created STEAM curricula for several summer camps, and is now helping millions of kids become makers through her work at Highlights for Children. Her passion is merging technology with craft to design creations that inspire kids of all ages.

Learn all about new FAA imposed regulations on recreational and hobby drone operations. Find out about the fun and commercial application of drone use and the positive impact of this new and exploding industry. Flying demonstration included!
