Prostate Cancer Awareness Alliance of Northeastern Pennsylvania Awards $10,000 Grant to The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute
SCRANTON, PA – The Prostate Cancer Awareness Alliance (PCAA) of NEPA recently awarded the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute with a $10,000 grant. This generous investment and partnership with PCAA will help the Cancer Institute provide a multifaceted approach to Men’s Health and Prostate Cancer Education and Awareness. The Cancer Institute will have the resources to host a range of prostate cancer education and awareness activities throughout the 2017 calendar year.

The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute is a nonprofit community-based agency serving counties in northeast Pennsylvania with offices located in Scranton and Wilkes-Barre. Focusing on surveillance, community and patient services, and hospital and practice support services, the Cancer Institute invests 100% of its resources locally.

The PCT foundation was established with the purpose of increasing Prostate Cancer awareness and emphasizing the importance of early detection through a multi-pronged educational effort.
