Hudson Valley-based physical therapy group announces opening of new clinic in Honesdale
Physical Therapy & Wellness, a physical, occupational and speech therapy group, opened its newest physical therapy clinic on Monday, June 5 in Wayne County. The office is located at 232 Sunrise Ave.
Formerly called Motion Physical Therapy and Rehab Center, Access recently acquired the clinic from Kevin Dunn, PT, who is now acting as the clinic’s director and leading physical therapist.
“We’re pleased to be expanding our presence into Wayne County, and look forward to providing top-notch care for patients in the Honesdale area,” said Access Regional Director, Innocent Rwakonda, PT, DPT, Graston tech, trained therapist. “Kevin runs a great practice which meets our high standards of care and he and his team will be a great addition to the Access family.”
Dunn began his career in the medical field as a physical therapy assistant. He loved helping people as a PTA and decided to return to school to become fully fledged physical therapist. He received his degree in physical therapy from Thomas Jefferson University. Dunn now has more than 34 years’ experience as a practicing physical therapist.
“We only use state-of-the-art equipment, such as treadmills, whirlpools, upper and lower body bicycles, free weights, a multi-hip unit, electrical stimulation, untrasound, traction, and more to get you well again,” said Dunn. “Our therapists use this advanced equipment to help you achieve your best possible outcome as quick as possible.”
