Home Water and Septic Workshops in Honesdale
Did you know that wells and springs provide a large percentage of the water supply to residents of the Pocono counties? In addition, many residents also rely on on-lot septic systems to treat and dispose of their wastewater.
A Home Water and Septic System Workshop, sponsored by Penn State Extension, will provide information on how to protect, test and treat private water supplies. Septic system inspection and maintenance will also be discussed. Learn how to protect your health, your property and our shared groundwater and surface water resources.
The Home Water and Septic System Workshop will be held on April 5, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm and again from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Wayne County Extension Office, 648 Park Street, Honesdale, PA 18431.
These workshops are free, however, pre-registration is required. The first 30 registrants for each workshop may have their drinking water tested at no charge. Sample collection instructions will be provided at time of registration. To register for either of the Honesdale workshops, go to https://extension.psu.edu/home-and-septic-workshop or call toll free, 877-345-0691.
