Spring is Almost Here in Hawley

Hawley, PA (March 12th, 2018) — Chirping birds in the trees, flowers bursting through the snow and the ice melting off the lake. These are all signs that Spring has arrived and after a long winter, we’re all ready to celebrate.

A sure sign of Spring is Easter, which falls on Sunday April 1st this year. Check out the Annual Easter Buffet at the Waterfront at Silver Birches on Lake Wallenpaupack or enjoy a farm to table Easter Dinner at The Settlers Inn.

Have you ever wanted to know how those gorgeous tiered wedding cakes are made? Then you’ll want to check out the Build Me Up Buttercup Cooking Class with the Mill Market Bakery on Sunday April 8th in the Boiler Room of the Hawley Silk Mill.

Speaking of classes, did you hear about all the new wine seminars at Wally Wine Fest this year? Wally Wine Fest, April 14th & 15th will have over 100 domestic and international wines with samples to taste and bottles to buy. It will also feature a Bourbon & Beer Tasting, vendors and new wine seminars from beginner to advanced. $25 in advance, $30 at the door with VIP and Platinum Tickets available. Proceeds will benefit the Lake Wallenpaupack Fireworks.

Also in April is Wild Week April 18th-22nd at Glass-wine.bar.kitchen in Ledges Hotel. They will be serving up exotic foods like grasshopper, elk, alligator and more. For the non-adventurous eater, the full menu will also be available.

Rounding out the month is Grateful Dead night at Glass-wine.bar.kitchen featuring The Village Idiots and the On Golden Pond Dinner Theater at The Waterfront at Silver Birches, both events happen in April 20th.

Who’s ready for a fiesta? Then reserve your spot at the Cinco De Mayo Pop Up Restaurant in the Boiler Room of the Hawley Silk Mill! Delectable Mexican cuisine is waiting for you!

Don’t forget about Mom, book your Mother’s Day Celebration at The Waterfront at Silver Birches with their annual buffet or for a farm to table feast at The Settlers Inn with brunch or dinner. Also at The Settlers Inn this month is their Memorial Day Brunch May 26th, 27th & 28th and their Perennial Exchange May 30th. The Perennial exchange is a charming way to kick off spring.
